CONVERSE, TX – Crossways International® (“CI”) and Sola Publishing (“Sola”) proudly announce that Sola will accept CI’s remaining inventory and will begin sales and distribution of that inventory in the next few months.
After 40 years of ministry, CI’s Board of Directors recently announced its decision to dissolve the ministry. A number of factors were attributed to this decision, including the impact of COVID-19. Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM) will receive the proceeds from this dissolution.
Following CI’s announcement, Sola came forward with the offer to extend the impact of CI’s legacy through distribution via their own publishing and fulfillment center in North Carolina.
“CI’s materials are unique and well-known,” said Steve King, Managing Editor of Sola Publishing. “We immediately saw this as an opportunity to extend the legacy of Crossways and its ministry of teaching the Biblical Word.”
“We see this arrangement as a win-win for all parties,” said Tim Schmitt, CI’s Board Chairman. “What CI leaves behind will continue to benefit the Body of Christ.”
“I am so grateful to see this transition of the materials owned by CI being conveyed to SOLA Publishing,” said The Rev. Dr. Harry Wendt, author and founder of CI. “Sola is a perfect partner to extend the life and legacy of the message of Jesus, the Servant-Messiah-King.”
“We thank God for the incredible opportunity of ministry through Crossways International and its faithful staff, enabled by your prayers, partnership and support over forty years,” added Dr. Wendt. “May we continue to teach and inspire, through the international network, the pan-cultural and denominational commitment of countless followers of Jesus through this website, and the gracious facility of the Sola partnership.”
Sola Publishing is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit ministry registered in the State of Minnesota and operates a print-fulfillment center in Graham, North Carolina. CI’s remaining inventory will be transported to North Carolina this month, to be made available starting in the new year.
